It’s no secret that The Rock is an absolute legend but almost every day he gives us even more reason to love him.
This time it’s for surprising his mom with a brand new home.
Scroll on to find out more.
First of all, let’s get one thing straight.
The Rock is arguably the most beloved man in showbiz.
Don’t believe us?
Well, we have a very convincing list of reasons…
1. He’s amazing to his fans!
He spends a lot of time surprising his biggest fans and giving them probably the best experience of their lives.
And most of them would risk their lives to get a picture with their favorite celebrity.
On multiple occasions, people have stopped traffic to try and get close to him!
2. “You can feel him before you see him.”
In an article by Rolling Stone, director Brad Peyton said: “There’s a buzz in the air – a rumble. Maybe that rumble comes from the fact that he’s 250 pounds of muscle, I don’t know. But when he walks on set, there’s a definite sense that it’s game time.”
3. He eats a lot!
It might be a weird thing to love him for, but listen to this!
The Rock has a daily diet that consists of 5,165 calories! This comes out to 7 meals a day!
And that explains why he’s called The Rock, right?
His “Cheat Day” consists of: “Chocolate chip & peanut butter cookies with Oreo cookie ice cream, 1 slice of cheesecake, 1 big ass chocolate fudge cookie with salted caramel chips.”
You could never devour this sugar-infested meal like The Rock could.
Props.
4. He ‘s one of the greatest wrestlers of all-time.
From epic storylines to fierce battles in the ring, The Rock has given us some of the best WWE matches in history.
And he’s fought some pretty big household names in the world of wrestling.
His most dramatic rivalries include the likes of John Cena, Brock Lesnar, and Stone Cold Steve Austin.
5. He takes care of his mom.
This one tugs at the heartstrings quite a bit.
He even bought her a new car after watching her struggle when they were younger.
“At fourteen, I saw my mom crying about our only car being repossessed. This felt good. Merry Christmas, mom.” If you don’t love him already, then you need to go and see a doctor. I think you’re missing a heart.
6. He doesn’t take himself too seriously.
You only have to watch one of his interviews to realize that or take a look at his Instagram page, which is equally as uplifting…
7. And, last but certainly not least, he’s a great father.
Dad to 3 girls, Johnson spends as much time with his daughters as he can, despite his busy schedule.
His little family is just too cute for words…
And people just cannot get enough of his adorable father-daughter Instagram posts.
His 3 girls include Simone Alexandra Johnson, twenty, Jasmine Johnson, 6, and Tiana Gia Johnson, 4.
And it’s safe to say that they all take after him in their own individual ways.
But, this is especially true for twenty-year-old Simone, who has the same fierceness as her father through and through.
Because recently, she’s had a lot of people making fun of her wrestling name, and she decided to put an end to it once and for all…
Now, for those who don’t know, Simone changed her name on Twitter ahead of her WWE debut, and as a result, many people began to mock the name.
“It sounds like a stripper’s name,” one person wrote on Twitter.
Someone else even said they thought she’d be called “The Pebble.”
Amid the stream of trolls who were disappointed by her name, Simone, who’s ring name is now Ava Raine, wrote a rather extensive thread on Twitter.
And she most certainly had a point…
“I beg of you guys to find a new joke. anything,” she wrote on Twitter, to which Denzel Dejournette responded by saying “they can start by not calling you ‘The Rock’s daughter’ like you’re not your own human being.”
She continued on in another tweet… “Nothing in this category please xx” she wrote, sharing a screenshot from Google related to rocks.
She didn’t stop there, though.
Another tweet was published with Simone sharing her feelings on the matter.
“I probably sound like a broken record & hopefully this is the last I’ll mention this but I don’t understand why people being portrayed as separate individuals from their family name is such a heated topic,” she said. “A name doesn’t discredit any prior accomplishments from any family,” the soon-to-be WWE wrestler continued.
“I could build my entire career around my father & people would still bash me anyway,” she finished.
The frustration came as Louis Dangoor, a journalist, gave his opinion on the matter.
“Not portraying Arianna Grace as Santino Marella’s daughter is one thing,” he began in a tweet.
“Giving Simeone Johnson, the daughter of THE ROCK, a new name is completely nonsensical.
“Will hold judgement until she debuts, but if WWE doesn’t acknowledge her dad is The Rock that’s ridiculous,” he finished.
Many people had their own take on what Simone wrote on Twitter…
And they didn’t hesitate to tell her.
“What about The Rockette?” one person asked.
“It’s an overused joke, calm down,” somebody else wrote underneath her tweet.
But, there was somebody who did apologize… The person whose tweet she responded to in the first place.
“I do apologize. It wasn’t meant as a knock on you, I totally get that you are your own person. I should’ve realized that you hear it a lot and not tweeted it,” the man behind the tweet wrote.
And it was a pretty cute moment, although, she didn’t reply.
Either way, she’s definitely got a fierce personality, and she’s not afraid to stand up to what she believes in.
She was definitely raised right by her momma and pappa.
But the latest reason to love The Rock?
Is that he’s just surprised his mom with a brand new home.
The Rock took to Instagram to share the heartwarming moment.
He captioned the post saying that he loves his mom, adding: “When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy.”
He included a crying smiling emoji, adding: “I surprised my mom and bought her a new home.”
Every mom deserves the best.
